What is a Gold Party?

Okay, so for those that don't know, here is the basic description of what I'm working on these days...

A gold party is like the opposite of a tupperware party. Instead of spending money on things you don't need, you come to a gold party to make money. Not just 5 or 10 dollars, but real money. Most people have some things in their jewelry box that are broken, outdated, or that they just don't wear anymore. At a gold party, you bring these things in, and we appraise your items based on market value. Then we write you a check. It's that simple!

Here's a link to a recent news story on gold parties...

Disclaimer: This is NOT a pyramid-scheme, or some cash for gold scam. We pay a very high price for the metal, and weigh everything in front of you on a certified scale. We won't be trying to get you to join our company, or to sell anything or buy anything you don't want. If you know us, you know we're going to be honest and fair.

It's been really fun to help people make some extra money. A majority of our guests walk away with hundreds or even a few thousand dollars. Who doesn't know someone who could use some extra money right now?

In case you're wondering what gold, silver, or platinum are trading at these days, check out www.kitco.com. Gold is just a few dollars away from the all-time record price of $1020 per ounce. That means you can trade in your old necklaces, earrings that you only have one of, or even some pieces from an old boyfriend for big time money. We can also remove stones from your items there at the party.

Our friends started up a gold party company here in Miami, and I've been working as their office manager. Nick and I go out to work a couple of gold parties each week as well. So, we're going to start up our own company in Seattle doing gold parties. Our name is Emerald City Metals, Inc. We'll be in Seattle October 9-11th, and we're already scheduled to do a few gold parties. If you'd like to host a party, just leave us a comment, or send us an email at emeraldcitymetals@gmail.com. We pay our hosts 11% of all the metal we buy at their party, so if we buy $10,000 worth of metals, the host makes $1100. Could you use some extra money?
